If you love geocaching, Arkansas (and neighboring Oklahoma) has some truly spooky hides. From cemeteries with local legends to creative caches that bring ghost stories to life, geocaching adds an adventurous twist to haunted travel.

Geocaching at night? Don’t forget a UV flashlight (great for caches with glow-in-the-dark clues) and a small travel backpack to carry your logbook and swaps.

Arkansas is home to famous haunted accommodations like the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs—often called America’s most haunted hotel. Whether or not you believe in ghosts, staying overnight is an unforgettable experience. (Full blog coming soon!)

Some Arkansas state parks have local ghost stories attached—perfect for mixing hiking, biking, and camping with a dose of mystery. During the summer of 2025 two people were brutally murdered on one of the hiking trails. It makes one wonder if it is now haunted.
